| . Welcome To...AngiesArk founded on the 8th of May, 2002. at 6.20pm. This group belongs to our members!!! If help is needed, we are a friendly bunch who have varying areas of knowledge. We love friendly debates and discussions on many topics!...Plus there are games and many off topic discussions...a place for all!!! A place for all animal caretakers to get together to discuss issues about our various companion animals. I have experience as a dog groomer and can help with dog grooming advice. I'm interested in many other animals (besides dogs). I also have a detailed knowledge of rabbits. I am a member of the Australian Companion Rabbit Society Inc. www.rabbit.org.au I also help with education of any one who askes for help and I specialize in hand rearing orphaned baby rabbits. These bubs usually come from inexperienced breeders when the doe doesn't care for her kits for any reason. There is an article in here which I have writen to assist others who are attempting the delicate hand rearing task. I'm also available for email and over the phone help. If you live locally I do in person visits for general rabbit help aswell. If you need a bunny question answered, ask Angie: angiecare@hotmail.com All members have their areas of special interest, so we all work together to help each other with the care of our animal friends. Having a group of people who have a diverse interest in animals provides a wonderful resource for information sharing. There will usually be someone in the group who shares a common interest in any other member's particular animal interest. Plus because we have such a diverse range of interests, we get to hear some great stories, and learn about species we may not know much about. My personal view is anti-breeding and anti-live animals in pet shops. I have bred animals in the past (twice) and now realise this was not a good idea, and have made the decision not to breed again but rather to become more involved in the plight of abandoned animals. Although I am generally "anti" breeding of animals (due to the over abundance of homeless animals) I would still like to make this group a friendly place for experienced breeders as I believe good breeders may have help to offer due to their vast level of knowledge in their field. And, novice breeders are welcome here aswell as I realise that help is often needed when an unexpected litter comes along. I respect the right of all members to voice their oppinions and ideas. I will always encourage spay and neuter of all pets, I will always voice my honest oppinion. I don't want to turn away any animal caretaker who may be interested in joining Angie's Ark and sharing their experiences, asking questions, and asking for help if needed. My priority is for this group to assist in the education of pet owners so that animals may have optimal care provided. I would like all members of Angie's Ark to feel comfortable in here, and to benefit from each other's knowledge and experience. I see myself as the caretaker of this group...not the "boss" or authority figure. All are welcome in Angies Ark. I encourage the support of animal shelters and to not contributing to the overpopulation of animals. We hope you will enjoy yourselves while you're here at Angie's Ark.
